As the industry leader in eco-friendly and sustainable printing solutions, Aspenprint uses only plant or vegetable-based inks and FSC-certified papers. For every tree used, we plant two more in its place, and we encourage our customers to use fully recycled Wood-free papers whenever possible. We print using plant-based inks, recycled paper, biodegradable foil and lamination.
We are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment by using eco-friendly processes and materials. To achieve this, we use FSC-certified paper, vegetable-based printing inks, and biodegradable lamination and foils. In addition, we offer a range of products such as compostable paper cups, and pens made from recycled paper or bamboo.
We are committed to continually evaluating and improving our practices in order to be the best we can be. As part of our efforts, we promise to reduce waste going to landfills and minimise our overall environmental impact. We also make a concerted effort to source raw materials, products, and services from companies that have proven environmental track records.
Our focus has been on assisting hotels in their green initiatives. These initiatives aim to better the hotel’s condition, preserve the environment, and encourage guests to contribute towards the protection of our planet and oceans.
- Guests are encouraged to re-use towels through the use of towel cards.
- Housekeeping can be swapped for £5 added to the bar tab by using door hangers on their room.
- Guests can participate in recycling schemes with the help of in-room reminders.
- The hotel offers running and cycling maps to encourage guests to exercise.
- Guests are reminded to turn off lights and taps when leaving their room.
Some recent Crowne Plaza initiatives also include door hangers which guests can hang outside their room which notify housekeeping not to clean that particular room in exchange for £5 off their bar bill.
Other incentives include towel cards to give guests the option of fresh towels every day, or to re-use them.
Hotel Jerbourg has just swapped their miniature single-use shampoos, conditioners and soaps for large refillable pumps to cut down on plastic waste.
